April 15, 22, 29:  Peabody Hotel Rooftop Parties

Beauty. Breeze. Sophistication. Live Music. Cocktails. What more could one ask for?? Every Thursday until August 5, come to the south's grand hotel to enjoy sunset views over the Mississippi while listening to the sultry sounds of a live band and sipping your favorite spirit! The event is from 6pm-10:30pm, with ladies free until 7pm. Come capture the city in all of its splendor ;-)

Birthday Couture

Talk about a sexy, chic, weekend-long celebration....I've fallen in love with Memphis all over again!  The weekend began with Friday night at Cafe Soul with wonderful friends.  Picture this: Intimate lighting. Sexy

atmosphere. Music that pulsates through your heart. Sultry, soulful sounds.  Two words: destiny fulfilled.

After Cafe Soul, my friends and I went to Fox and Hound and shut it down!  Pool, drinks, excellent conversation, and great friends....what more could you ask for??? 

Saturday, I had the opportunity to do community service with the awesome kids of the 1Eighty youth ministry of New Direction Christian Church.  I ♥ them so!!!  Afterwards, the bff and I went shopping and preprared for a sexy night out at the Urban Hang Suite.  Shout out to the men of Brothers Inc for bringing sexy back to the Hunt Phelan!  A good time was to be had by all.....the best birthday ever.......

Let the Celebration Begin!!!

So, this week has been a beautiful one.....we've celebrated a profound legacy left by an astonishing leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and this weekend, we will celebrate a national holiday: my 26th birthday!!!  Let's show our city some love - EliteGlamDiva style!!!!  Details to come soon.....stay tuned :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

So, I know it's been a while since I've updated the blog, but I'm back ladies and gentlemen, and I missed you so!!!!  It's COLD outside in the M today......wind chill factor of as low as 1 degree.....so "boo" season is in full effect!!  If you're like me, and you're "boo-less,"  I suggest you have a girls night in (for the ladies, of course)....movies, wine, stimulating conversations by the fire place!  Guys, get your ESPN on.....you know how to do it!  Kids are included too - Wii, family movie night, the works! 

I know of a few "house sets" jumpin tonight that sound interesting.....house sets around this itme of year are always a good look. 

As far as the city is concerned, Cafe Soul is always sexy on Fridays: live music, sexy atmosphere, South Main district.....what more could you ask for???

URBAN HANG SUITE FRIDAYS.....ONE OF THE SEXIEST EDITIONS TO DATE

I have two words to describe your Friday night this weekend: WESTIN HOTEL.  I have attended a couple of the Urban Hang Suite events at the Inn @ Hunt Phelan, and it's the sexiest after-work set that I've attended in a very long time. LIVE jazz and a neosoul playlist...what more could you ask for??? Find yourself at the Westin this Friday from 6p-11p, no cover charge.....I promise you will be satisfied.  Events like this is precisely why I'm so in love with Memphis.....big thanks to Urban Hang Suite Fridays and Strictly Jazz Entertainment for bringing such a sultry, cosmopolitan, sexy event to the city.....see you there.  *muah*

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FAM!!!!  Remember to take some time today, and every day, to reflect on the superfluous reasons you have to be thankful.  God is amazing.....let's never forget just how faithful He is.  Give thanks ♥

On to today's chosen affair.......

This soulful, sultry, eclectic event is featured on memphisrebirth.com. I also saw this affair on Facebook and noticed that one of Memphis' most talented artists, Jammond Bullock, is featured in one of the event photos. His talent soars higher than the majestic eagle....you don't want to miss a live painting by him! This one seems like it will be worth checking out.....jazz, neo-soul, spoken word.....a welcome change to the diluted Memphis club scene. Go out and support.....and watch the rebirth of soul transpire right before your eyes.

The Word @ Hatiloo Theatre

I ran across this event on neosoulville.com.....I've always been a fan of the Hatiloo Theatre; it's one of Memphis' best kept secrets!!!  What y'all know about a theatre that focuses on highlighting African American art?  There's one word to describe this concept: s-e-x-y! 

This event takes place every Monday night.  Doors open at 7pm, and the admission is quite affordable.  Check it out....fall in love all over again!!  I ♥ Memphis.......Stand Out. *muah*
